THE
BLUES OF BETTERMENT

Let
me tell you a not-so-secretive secret... It does not really GET better. Your
heart-wrenching circumstances or the sweltering heat of your occupation, does
not really shape shift and overturn into the gorgeous floral bouquet of your
starry dreams. Tough luck, YOU have to make it better.
I
know how tough the clocks have ticked for you, their hands pacing in their own
steady motion as you cringe at the deafening sound of their strides...the sound
of your precious time, ticking away. Our ears have now accustomed themselves to
the monotony, it's our adaptation now to let ourselves go... We journey through
life, but never really travel it, do we?
This
one's for all of you close to my heart… the clock ticks away but never does it
tick too fast a pace that you forget to mend yourself. And by mending, I do not
mean a splurge of something utterly lavish.
You
DESERVE those five precious extra minutes of a relaxing shower. You DESERVE
spending a dime on your favourite treat and those extra minutes of lingering
near the window and savouring a precious time dedicated just for your
soul...far far away from the hum drums or the clutters of heavy words spilled
by the machines around you.
You
deserve every bit of losing yourself in the seat adjacent to the window of the
daily bus ride to your sweetest home, the crisp breeze playing with the strands
of your unkempt hair.
Go
ahead and lose yourself in those five extra minutes of being wrapped in the
soothing fabric of your bed sheets. Take the sip of the warmest coffee on
chilly evenings, ask for another spoon of a delicious amalgamation of mint and
chocolate, go ahead and swipe that newest lip shade and create as many swatches
as your heart desires.
You
are the creator and decorator of your canvas. You are not defined by the
monotony of the hands ticking away to oblivion…
