2019 IS NOT FAR AWAY- Animikh Sengupta  Roughly 7 months is left for the most celebrated ‘festival’ of India which is the General Elections. It is not an exaggeration if we say that the whole world will be keenly following that ultimately whom does the Indians elect as their next ‘Supreme’. Many renowned organizations have already started to give their opinion polls ahead of the ‘MAHA YUDH’. Here we will try to give our own perspective and analyse what can the people of the largest democracy in the world decide in the end. If India Today’s Mood of the Nation survey is believed then it says that NDA will be back in power with 281 seats which clearly shows that they will be 9 seats ahead of the majority out of 543 total number of seats in the Lok Sabha. Current Indian Skipper Virat Kohli will never forget Vizag, as here only he became the fastest man ever to score 10,000 runs in ODI cricket by yet another century against the West Indies.                        যখন এসেছিলে ...  - আদিত্য  মণ্ডপে তখন একটা টিমটিমে প্রদীপ জ্বলছে। দশমীর সিঁদুর খেলাও শেষ। শেষ ভ্যানটাও চলে গেল। যতদূর দেখা যায়, শুধুমাত্র ঢাকিদের মাথা সঙ্গে একদল মাতালদের নাচ। একেবারে শেষের দিকে মহিলারা খুব সংযত হয়ে হেঁটে চলেছে।   ধীরে ধীরে আলোগুলো ফ্যাকাসে হয়ে যাচ্ছে। ঢাকের আওয়াজও মিলিয়ে যাচ্ছে অদূরে। জীবন থেকে আরও একটা দুর্গা পুজো উধাও হচ্ছে। অন্ধকার গলির মোড়ে দাঁড়িয়ে আমার অন্ধকার ভবিষ্যতের দিকে তাকিয়ে মুচকি মুচকি হাসছি আর ভাবছি, ‘বেকারদের কীইবা নবমী আর কীইবা দশমী। সবই তো এক। সবই তো ছুটির দিন। প্রত্যেক দিনই তো মদ খেয়ে মাতাল হওয়া যায়।’ একটা উদাসী মন নিয়ে বাড়ির দিকে এগিয়ে চলেছি। গলির লাইটগুলো খুলে নিয়েছে চলে গেছে। প্রতিদিনের মতো একদল সারমেয় গা এলিয়ে পড়ে আছে। পুকুরের ধারে কিছু অবাঙালী ছেলে মদের আসর নিয়ে বসেছে। আবার সেই প্রতিদিনের মতো একটা বিদঘুটে অন্ধকার ছায়া ফেলছে জীবনে।   পুকুর পাড়ে   দাঁড়িয়ে একটা সিগারেট ধরাতে ধরাতে চ...
